Course Objectives
Use technologies for data collection, information management, problem solving, decision making, communication, information exchange, and presentation within instructional environments.
Identify, locate, evaluate, and use technology resources to support learning and teaching including such technologies as presentation devices, digital cameras, camcorders, and instructional software.
Plan and implement instructional interventions that integrate technology to meet the diverse needs of learners in a variety of educational settings.
Identify and discuss ethical and legal issues relating to the use of technology.
Operate a computer system, utilize software and apply knowledge of terms associated with educational technology.
Model effective use of current and emerging digital tools to locate, analyze, evaluate, and use information resources to support research and learning.
Apply the principles of instructional design to the process of analyzing learners, developing objectives, acquiring and evaluating instructional resources, enabling the use of resources and technology, fostering learner interaction, and evaluating the results of the plan.
Demonstrate fluency in technology systems, computer operating systems, and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.
Develop and implement interactive digital media for instruction - including digital formats for still and moving objects.
