Professional Statement
Both my professional and academic goals are intertwined. I am passionate about instructional design in the realm of Adult Education, and after 20 plus years of experience working as an instructional designer in a variety of different fields, I want to increase my knowledge and obtain credentials to move further along in my career in helping educators use technology in their classrooms.
Currently, I am the Digital Solutions Manager for ARDX, a minority, woman owned business in Norfolk, VA. I am content in my current position; however, my 5-10 year plan includes transitioning back into Instruction/Facilitation for adult learning full-time. To help in my transition, I currently work as a part-time Adjunct faculty member for Virginia Wesleyan University.
